- Responsible for planning, directing and monitoring all logistics activities to ensure the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost effective way to both external and internal customers.
- Oversee the distribution and transportation of goods within the supply chain from suppliers to the plant, internal logistics within the plant and plant to customers.
- Implement best practices, logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to support and improve operational performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise & lead a team of Logistics Coordinators, Logistics Assistants and Material Technicians on receiving, kitting, replenishment and shipping activities.
- Take lead in daily tasks allocation and manpower resource planning.
- Investigate and follow-up on all non-conformances, damaged cargo surveys and recommend corrective actions.
- Supervise daily transport to ensure timely delivery/collection arrangement.
- Liaise with forwarding agents and transport companies to ensure timely uplift for on-time delivery.
- Maintain and administrate shipping documents inclusive of Airway Bill, Customs Permit, Delivery Order, Packing List and Commercial Invoice per audit and MES requirements.
- Drive on time delivery through receiving, shipping and cycle count accuracy.
- Demonstrates compliance to EHS requirements, ensure good housekeeping in the work area.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Transportations / Business Management or related discipline;
- At least 8 years relevant experience in Logistics / Supply chain / Warehousing function inclusive of at least 3 years experiences in a people-leadership role.
- Proficient in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel).
- Preferably with a good understanding of supply chain / lean manufacturing concepts with hands-on experience.
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization and with customers and suppliers.
- Excellent EQ (Emotional Quotient), people management and leadership skills.
- Able to handle VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity).
