That's what our logistics team makes possible-using the latest digital, analytics and data forecasting tools to move material where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.
Caterpillar's Product Support Logistics Division (PSLD) currently has an opportunity for a Logistics Engineer in Singapore.
What You Will Do:
- Design and implement successful logistics solutions
- Commissioning of various warehouse automation projects such as ASRS, Mini Load, AutoStore and Autonomous Vehicle
- Data analysis on storage and productivity statistics
- Warehouse storage design: Machinery & equipment design and procurement; workforce & equipment planning; logistics process design; inventory transfer & rearrangement planning; and integrating supply chain knowledge into warehouse design
- Using knowledge of local Warehouse Management System (WMS) to integrate this into the overall design of the facility
- Support global automation and modernisation warehouse projects
- Ensure projects are executed in a timely manner and completion timelines are adhered to
What You Have:
- Background in supply chain, logistics, industrial or mechanical engineering
- Experience in warehouse storage and handling system design and implementation experience (such as traditional racking, handling equipment, processing area setup)
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint & AutoCAD
- Hands-on Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge and SAP-EWM knowledge
- Building inclusive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve, set priorities and deal with uncertainty
Additional Info:
International travelling will be on a needs basis.
