Job Description

We, at Flywire, are seeking a Legal & Compliance Specialist to support our team in the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will be motivated, a team player, and have a strong interest in working for the Legal and Compliance department of a global business that is growing and changing at a fast pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and negotiate various legal documents, including agreements, memoranda, policies, and related materials.
  • Develop and deliver internal training sessions focused on legal agreement negotiations.
  • Manage company secretarial matters for APAC entities, including coordinating with external vendors to establish and maintain entities, ensuring timely regulatory filings, and drafting and executing board resolutions.
  • Maintain internal documentation, including APAC-specific policies, procedures, and file management systems.
  • Serve as the secretary for the APAC Business Steering Committee, including organizing meetings and recording minutes.
  • Support licensing and compliance activities, such as preparing regulatory applications, handling partner queries and audits, developing training materials, reviewing regulatory notices and circulars, and overseeing KYC refresh processes.
  • Provide assistance to Legal and Compliance team members on various tasks and cross-functional projects as needed.

Qualifications

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's Degree: You should hold a degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace: You should be comfortable using tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Efficiency with these platforms is essential for daily operations and collaboration.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is key. You’ll need to write and speak professionally with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Abilities: This role requires juggling multiple priorities at once. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time-sensitive documents and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-Oriented Attitude: We value collaboration and a positive team dynamic. You should thrive in a busy work environment where teamwork and adaptability are essential.
  • Language Proficiency: Written and spoken fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred, as the role would require reviewing documents in Mandarin and communicating with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
