Job Description SummaryThe Product Engineer is responsible for the industrialization and production of HA gas turbine components repairs in meeting GE Vernova requirements and specifications. This role reports directly to the HA Component Repairs Cell Leader.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) and qualification processes for gas turbine components within the repairs production domain. Serve as the primary contact for technical discussions and implementations related to product repairs with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and provide resolutions for production challenges, including addressing nonconforming products and processes.
  • Assess technical competency levels and coordinate necessary training sessions for product line technicians to ensure skill enhancement and competency development.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing safety, quality, delivery, and productivity of products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement manufacturing processes that optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in the development and execution of process validation and verification activities, ensuring all manufacturing processes meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years operational, quality and process/product engineering experience in related industry preferred
  • Strong communications, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience in heavy-duty gas turbine component repairs is advantageous

  • Solid understanding or practical experience in interpreting engineering drawings
  • Possess strong analytical skills and experience in performing Root Cause Analysis
  • Detail-oriented and data-driven in reviewing and making technical dispositions
