Job Summary
In this role, the Lead Procurement Business Partner for our Material Solutions (MS) division will act as key point of contact in Procurement for Division leadership across Asia and drive Division-specific activities, including coordination of emergencies and urgent issues, category strategy alignment, and support of on-site buyers. This role will be based in Singapore and will report into the Global Procurement Division Business Partner for MS. Together they will work as a team to provide complete global support. Asia-region buyers will report dotted line into this role.
Reports to: Senior Manager, Procurement Business Partner
Key Responsibilities
Act as single point-of-contact for leadership with all information related to supplier purchasing and risk management activities (dashboards, spend, relationship, etc.)
Collaborate with other Procurement Business Partners, Ops and Supply Chain functional leaders to address cross-divisional supplier issues
In partnership with local teams, confirm raw material shortages are understood and are inputs to the S&OP cycle. Ensure adequate mitigation is occurring.
Support coordination and reporting of emergencies and urgent issues at division level
Bring relevant expertise and actively manage internal stakeholders to get alignment and drive issue resolution
Support delivering savings to the Division and developing an approach to optimize site-based buying, aligned with Category Management
Work with Division Ops and Supply Chain Leaders to drive inventory and service level improvements in coordination with Category Management and Buyers
Support and guide the strategic category manager in achieving significant cost reductions and provide Division input to direct category strategies
Understand full product line suppliers to help ensure continuity of supply and appropriate strategies are in place.
Proactively engage with top management to provide state-of-the art guidance on strategy execution
Guide, develop and assess dotted line purchasing talent to improve resource productivity, capability/skill development and proficiency
In partnership with Site Leadership team and the Supply Chain COE, provide mentorship and develop local buyers through coaching and development plans to address individual areas of improvement and ensuring robust succession and talent management plans
Proactively engage with category management teams and the Supply Chain COE to provide relevant coaching to local buyers and material managers to ensure the deployment of global category strategies
Requisite Criteria & Skills
15+ Years of experience within the Supply Chain and/or Procurement functions, including Planning experience
Experience with SAP, Power BI, and Sharepoint
Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry, processes and products
Strong team player to leverage existing resources & drive excellence
Exceptional relationship building skills, with emphasis on collaboration, influencing, and conflict management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong strategic/problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities
Knowledge of procurement best practices
Self-motivated, highly results-oriented with a bias for action
