The Field Applications Specialist (FAS) is responsible to provide technical expertise and applications support to regional accounts to support the sales process within a product segment. Conduct pre and post- sale product demonstrations, spec win activities as well as technical troubleshooting’s to support sales objectives. Work closely with regional sales team to drive growth in Upstream Single Use technologies and Resins.
This position reports to the Bioprocess FAS Leader and is part of the Bioprocess ASEAN team located in Singapore and will be fully remote.
What you will do:
- Accountable in leading the application support for Single Use products – Bioreactors & Mixers connectivity solutions, Hyclone cell culture media including buffers and Resins technologies for ASEAN
- Support regional pre and post sales activities including technical and application review of tenders and technical follow-up for QAA’s
- Conduct SU product trainings, wet and / or dry demonstrations at customer sites by culturing cells with their cell line and equipment to demonstrate product capabilities
- Support design in activities, trainings and technical support for resins
- Maintain up to date market and competitor knowledge related to their products/solution.
Who you are:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or equivalent
- Min 5 years relevant project engineering or project management experience, with good understanding of Bioprocess Manufacturing and Technical Understanding, Process improvement methods. Scientific background would also be of interest. Worked in a cGMP manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication skills and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to external customers, global counterparts and to team members in other functional
- Team oriented with a customer satisfaction mindset with ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time
- Self-motivated, willingness to be flexible/adapt to changing work environments and able to work independently with limited day to day supervision of Manager
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Willingness to travel 50% or more within your specified geographic region (SEA / ASEAN) with occasional overnight stays for few days depending on geography and business for sales meetings and tradeshows. Occasionally longer travels to attend FAT’s, seminars or trainings.
- Fluent in English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals
- Automations knowledge, for example with Unicorn and DeltaV control system
- Downstream knowledge, both for chromatography and filtration hardware
