Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an in-country candidate to fill the position of Japan KC-46 Support Integration Specialist​ (Logistics Integration) for the Japan Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) sustainment programs. This role will be responsible for the capture and execution of these sustainment efforts.

The selected individual will work across a wide variety of organizations, functions, suppliers, and business units to include international government and industry representatives, Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF), and other Japan Ministry of Defense (JMOD) organizations. This role will work closely with the Support Integration teams (eg: tech data, supply support, retrofit, service engineering, maintenance planning, support equipment, training, facilities, and packaging handling storage & transport (PHS&T)), located in both the USA and Japan.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the KC 46 in country Lead Technical Engineer
  • Apply knowledge of customer processes to shape Boeing technical, material, and support products/services
  • Creates and leads presentations, status reviews, and monitors execution of support programs.
  • Coordinate with customer and partner organizations to identify and prepare for future maintenance requirements
  • Serve as the Program Senior Logistics interface to integrate support program requirements as a representative of The Boeing Company to the JMOD and key stakeholders both internal and external that includes tech data, supply support, retrofit, service engineering, maintenance planning, support equipment, training, facilities, and packaging handling storage & transport (PHS&T)
  • Support organizational growth strategic planning
  • Lead quarterly program meetings with the customer
  • Support BJKK in country new business proposal efforts
  • Manage MyBoeing Fleet access for JASDF, BJKK, and MRO
  • Coordination with freight forwarder sub contractor

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 6+ years of logistics experience written in the responsibilities part.
  • Basic understanding of Japan Ministry of Defense operational, sustainment and contracting processes.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally (engineering, program management, modification team, contracts and finance)
  • Experience managing, monitoring, and integrating product/ program lifecycle support activities to include support system analysis, spares, provisioning, technical data, training maintenance/modifications, support equipment and facilities.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English with the ability to review and translate technical information in both written and verbal forms.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of logistics experience written in the responsibilities part.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working with commercial derivative, vertical lift, or fighter aircraft platforms
  • Experience working across organizations and working with/managing suppliers and subcontractors
  • Experience interfacing directly with senior military officials and executives
  • Familiarity with Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) processes and operations
  • Experience in the aviation industry 
  • Experience in Project Management 
  • Military experience

Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Boeing Japan Tokyo office.
