Department OverviewThe Response, Reporting & Evidence Software group (RRE) delivers solutions to the public safety sector. The CCReporting team at Motorola Solutions is responsible for building a platform that provides a place to build reports and analytics dashboards for different products. Our platform enables users to visualize and summarize data, providing insightful details on various products developed by teams at MSI.

Job Description
As a software engineer contributing to an advanced software development team using modern software development techniques to produce world-class public safety software. The candidate will be responsible for participating in the SDLC process by designing, developing and maintaining the software for the product.
Responsibilities:

Participate in formal design and implementation activities
-
Develop and maintain front-end application
-
Develop requirements, code and create unit and e2e automated testing solutions
-
Create backend services to manage data flow process, ETL and product provisioning
-
Write APIs to connect services/components for the e2e solutions implementation
-
Write code and scripts following the security standards for secure application solution
-
Design and implement data flow and ETL workflows for data
-
Participate in agile process for development with work effort estimations, planning and retrospective analysis
-
Collaborate with other team members for requirement gathering, development process and provide support
-
Debug and fix the issues
-
DevOps process for build and deployment to services/infrastructure components
-
Effectively collaborate with technical leaders in a multi-team environment
-
Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in the face of changing priorities and requirements
Basic Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
-
5+ years of experience with software development
-
Effective communication in English (joining an international team)
Skills and Qualifications:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in developing microservices
-
Experience with programming languages: C#, javascript, typescript
-
Solid understanding of backend service architecture
-
Experience with C# Web API and NoSQL in building scalable web applications
-
Strong knowledge of relational database SQL database and non relational database like MongoDB or CosmosDB
-
Minimum of a three years of experience in web development using .NET and one of Angular/React/Vue (including TypeScript, RxJS)
-
Must have strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Additional Skills/Plus:
-
Scripting with bash and powershell
-
Knowledge of databricks is plus
-
Container orchestration technology like Kubernetes
-
Knowledge of DevOps process with build and deployment of services/infrastructure

Experience working with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure or GCP
-
Familiar with design patterns and write clean code

Good verbal and written communication skills in English
-
Experience with Agile Software Development practices (Scrum and Kanban preferred).

Self-motivated, with the ability to learn quickly and independently, and work within an Agile team
