The Global Pricing and Contracting IT team, partners with several of the largest functions in our organization, including our commercial pricing & contracting teams to build and grow systems to leapfrog the competition using rapidly evolving artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to set customer prices and create effective contracts.
Our work matters because it is the insights gained from our systems that unlocks Medtronic’s ability to maximize revenue and grow market share through effective price & contracting strategy. As the EurAsia Pricing & Contracting IT Solution Architect, you will design and Offer Development and Tender Management capabilities for EurAsia. You’ll partner with regional stakeholders to align business needs with IT solution architecture, ensuring seamless end-to-end integration and automation across the Pricing & Contracting landscape. In this role, you will receive direction from and align your work with the Chief Architect to drive consistency across the global architecture.
  • Solution Architect: Design and integrate Offer Development and Tender Management solutions across pricing and contracting systems.

  • Trusted Advisor: Bridge the gap between Pricing & Contracting and IT, ensuring stakeholders understand how solutions and data drive business decisions.

  • Translator: Convert business needs into technical solution architecture plans.  Clearly explaini solution implementation plans to business and IT stakeholders.

  • Discovery & Documentation: Lead discovery sessions, gather requirements and ensure thorough documentation.

  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory and data privacy standards.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and deliver more efficient ways of working.

  • Team Player: Participate in agile meetings, especially when high level architecture decisions are needed. Works closely with Business Analysts to ensure solutions give value to the business and are aligned with the broader Architecture strategy.

  • Business Learner: Build a strong understanding of Medtronic’s products, customers, and markets.

  • Value Advocate: Analyze Offer Development and Tender Management processes, championing IT solutions that deliver value for customers and patients.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Defines, describes, diagrams and documents the role and interaction of the high-level technological and human components that combine to provide cost effective and innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs.

  • Promotes, guides and governs good architectural practice through the application of well-defined, proven technology and human interaction patterns and through architecture mentorship.

  • Supports the full lifecycle management of the entire IT portfolio including the selection, appropriate usage, enhancement and replacement of information technology applications, infrastructure and services.

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:

Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.  May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals.  The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Leadership and Talent Management: Typically provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.

Typically manages major / moderately complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products, at times acting as a team leader.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • May have broad knowledge of project management.

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Solid understanding of IT SDLC system design and development lifecycles

  • Understanding how to extract and analyze data 

  • Experience working in agile methodology

  • Experience defining new processes and improving existing processes

  • Demonstrated ability to solicit clear requirements; translate those requirements into technical specifications; and deliver accurate, reliable solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical topics to business management and users

  • Self-motivated problem solver

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, quickly assessing opportunities and defining solutions

  • Ability to develop effective relationships with business users, technical staff, and executive management

  • Excellent communication skills matching appropriate content to different audiences

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Technology: Able to read technical code, sequence diagram or  pseudo-code when necessary.

  • Experience with Quote-To-Cash software and IT SDLC lifecycle, with a preference for candidates having technical development skillset in SAP ABAP, APEX/Lightning, AI/LLM, C#, Python, Java.

  • Experience in Quote-To-Cash transformation journey in IT enterprise solution such as Conga CLM, Salesforce, iCertis, Palantir Foundry, S4 Hana

  • PRINCIPAL LEVEL: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
