The successful candidate will join the growing Compliance team at QRT, working closely with business, compliance, and IT teams. The Business Analyst (Contract - 6 months) will be responsible for analysing business requirements, managing project workflows, and supporting regulatory compliance initiatives. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, financial market knowledge, and experience in FIX Protocol, market data, and electronic communication networks (ECNs).
Responsibilities:
- Your core objective is to analyze and document business requirements related to regulatory reporting, market data, and trading workflows
- Work closely with Front Office, IT, and Compliance teams to streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Utilize FIX Protocol expertise to support market connectivity and trade processing
- Provide insights into market data, ECNs, and trading platforms to optimize trade execution and reporting
- Develop and execute SQL queries for data analysis and validation
- Conduct impact assessments on regulatory and technology changes, ensuring compliance and business alignment
- Assist in project management, prioritizing multiple workstreams and meeting stakeholder expectations
- Facilitate workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into functional specifications
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance automation and data accuracy
Your present skillset:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, and project management within financial services.
- Hands-on experience with FIX Protocol, with exposure to market data and ECNs.
- Strong understanding of financial products across multiple asset classes (equities, derivatives, fixed income, etc.).
- Ability to write SQL queries and a solid understanding of relational databases.
- Knowledge of Front Office market structure, trade flows, and trading products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable insights.
