We are looking to expand our Indian Equities team at Manulife Investment Management with the addition of an Investment Analyst based in Singapore

We are looking to add a capable and driven Investment Analyst to our Indian Equities team at Manulife. This is a highly involved role suited for someone who wants to work closely with the Portfolio Managers and actively contribute to both investment analysis and product-related initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

Company Analysis & Research:
  • Conduct deep financial and business analysis of listed Indian companies across sectors.
  • Build, update, and maintain detailed financial models and valuations.

  • Support sectoral and thematic research initiatives.

  • Maintaining research documentation and building research repository.

  • Meetings & Insights:

  • Attend management, analyst, and expert meetings.

  • Prepare clear and insightful meeting notes.

  • Present findings and investment theses to the portfolio manager and regional teams.

Product & Client Engagement:

  • Contribute to product strategy discussions and positioning.

  • Prepare presentations and materials for internal stakeholders and external clients.

  • Collaborate with regional investment, product, and distribution teams.

Research Documentation & AI Tools:

  • Contribute actively to building and maintaining a structured research repository.

  • Leverage in-house AI tools and data platforms to enhance research efficiency, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

  • Adopt a forward-looking approach to integrating technology into the research process.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred)

  • 1–3 years of experience in equity research

    Strong financial modeling and analytical skills

  • Strong numerical aptitude and technical proficiency in Excel

  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

    Willingness to take ownership in a lean, entrepreneurial environment

  • Enterprising, self-driven, proactive — someone who doesn’t need constant guidance, can take initiative, and finds solutions independently

  • Proficiency in Aladdin (optional)
