Job Description

As an Investment Advisor at United Overseas Bank Ltd (UOB), you will be responsible for providing expert financial advice and wealth management solutions to a diverse client base, helping them achieve their financial goals through tailored investment strategies.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth and affluent clients, understanding their financial needs, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.
* Conduct comprehensive financial needs analysis and create personalized investment portfolios encompassing a range of financial products, including equities, bonds, mutual funds, structured products, and alternative investments.
* Monitor client portfolios regularly, provide performance updates, and recommend adjustments based on market conditions, economic trends, and changes in client circumstances.
* Educate clients on various investment products, market insights, and financial planning concepts to empower them to make informed decisions.
* Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling UOB's financial products and services, collaborating with other departments as needed.
* Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in all client interactions and investment activities.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, financial market developments, and new product offerings to maintain a competitive edge and provide cutting-edge advice.
* Prepare and present clear, concise, and compelling investment proposals and reports to clients.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CFA designation is a significant advantage.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investment advisory, wealth management, or a similar client-facing financial role, preferably within a bank.
* Proven track record of success in acquiring, managing, and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth or affluent clients.
* Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, portfolio management principles, and wealth planning concepts.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and translate it into actionable investment strategies.
* Possession of relevant licenses and certifications required to provide investment advice (e.g., CMFAS modules in Singapore, or equivalent local regulatory requirements).
* High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical conduct.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
