The QC/QA Flavors Intern will conduct analytical testing, manage samples, calibrate instruments, and assist in maintaining quality standards while gaining hands-on experience.
Job Summary
You'll work alongside experienced professionals, learning about:
Laboratory techniques and instrumentation (GC, GCMS, Refractometer, Density meter, Karl Fischer, and pH)
Sensory preparation and evaluation (Join in weekly sensory training for the team)
Industrial safety and quality management systems (ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000)
Religious certification processes (Halal, Kosher)
- Conduct analytical testing on flavor compounds
- Manage incoming samples and prepare samples for sensory evaluation
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Adhere to Good laboratory practices, maintain a clean and organized lab environment (6S)
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects
- Assist QA in maintaining quality databases and ensuring records, documents, and certifications are up-to-date
- Participate in QA activities such as audits, GMP walks, environmental monitoring and surface swabs
- Support QA training and events, including updating slide content
