Job Description

Intern, Placemaking position involves being actively involved in the day-to-day operations of placemaking strategies for locations like Singapore Science Park. You will also design and implement programs to enhance user experience and community engagement, and elevate the brand reputation of these destinations. The role also includes identifying and targeting key audiences , and undertaking marketing and branding efforts for the program, creating content, and utilizing digital and traditional marketing channels. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and managing a diverse range of events, from food festivals to tech showcases, ensuring their seamless execution. 

What You Will Get to Do 

Placemaking Strategy & Programme Design 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive placemaking strategy for Singapore Science Park and other destinations

  • Design innovative programmes and initiatives that enhance the user experience, encourage community engagement and elevate the brand reputation of the destinations

  • Be actively involved in the day-to-day operations, ensuring all aspects of the programme are executed efficiently and effectively

Audience Development & Engagement

  • Identify and target key audiences, including tenants, visitors, and the local community

  • Develop and execute strategies to draw diverse audiences to the placemaking destination, ensuring active participation in events and programmes

  • Design outreach and engagement initiatives that resonate with the unique character of the placemaking destination, fostering a strong sense of belonging and community among all audience segments

Marketing & Branding

  • Undertake the marketing and branding efforts for the placemaking programme, ensuring alignment with the destination’s brand identity

  • Create compelling content and campaigns that highlight the unique features and offerings of the destination and spaces

  • Utilize digital and traditional marketing channels to promote the destination, programmes and events

Events Planning & Management

  • Plan, organize, and manage a diverse range of events, including food festivals, tech showcases, wellness activities, and more

  • Ensure seamless execution of events, from concept to post-event evaluation, maintaining high standards of quality

  • Collaborate with partners, vendors, and service providers to deliver memorable experiences

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital media, and brand management

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a hands-on approach

  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
