Manufacturing Cost Analysis & Process Improvement Project

This project provides the intern with the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in manufacturing cost analytics and financial planning within a high-volume production environment.
The intern will gain exposure to data interpretation, forecasting techniques, and process optimization while contributing to meaningful analysis that influences manufacturing management decisions.

Opportunities for full-time employment may be offered based on performance, analytical capability, ability to manage financial datasets, and contributions to process-improvement initiatives.

• Conduct monthly reviews and analysis of actual reported process costs and compare them against planned targets.
• Perform quarterly analyses of projected process costs, including comparisons to previous plans and established benchmarks.
• Validate monthly cost data to ensure consistency for internal and external benchmarking purposes.
• Respond to management information requests and participate in special analytical studies.
• Maintain data consistency and relevance to support Manufacturing management decision-making.
• Strengthen coordination and communication across site and global finance teams.
• Contribute to the business planning cycle through structured data analysis and involvement in the budgeting process.

• Collaborate with senior team members to identify areas for process alignment, simplification, and automation.
• Document business processes identified during improvement initiatives to build standardized reference materials.

• Monthly and quarterly cost analysis reports with clear insights on cost variances.
• A set of validated and organized financial datasets for benchmarking.
• Documented process maps or workflows for selected improvement areas.
• Recommendations on areas where manufacturing finance processes can be simplified or automated.

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities
• Proficiency in Excel or data tools (pivot tables, basic formulas)
• Interest in financial analysis, data validation, and reporting
• Attention to detail and structured approach to problem-solving
