Riot Games was founded on the principles that putting players first leads to exceptional experiences. Since the launch of League of Legends in 2009, millions of players around the world log in each month to connect through our games and the music that brings them to life.

As we continue to expand our global content portfolio, we’re seeking an Interactive Music Manager based in Singapore to support the delivery of high-quality interactive music across Riot’s products and partnerships.

That's where you come in.

As the Interactive Music Design Manager in Riot Singapore Game Studio, you’ll help bring Riot’s music vision to life by developing and overseeing interactive music production and in-game implementation across assigned products and features. This role sits at the intersection of music, audio systems, and gameplay — partnering closely with Audio, Design, Engineering, and external music vendors to ensure music is authored, implemented, and optimized for real-time player experiences.

This is not a music supervision, licensing, or marketing-driven role. It is a game music production role with a strong emphasis on music systems, technical integration, and interactive execution, rather than record production or campaign-based music supervision.
This is a position based in Singapore, working closely with both global and regional Riot teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Production Scope & Accountability
    • Translate gameplay goals, creative vision, and system intent into clear, actionable interactive music briefs.
    • Be responsible for end-to-end interactive music production for game cosmetic products across League of Legends & Teamfight Tactics.
  • Interactive Music Systems & Implementation
    • Own and oversee end-to-end game music delivery across the team, spanning asset creation, in-game implementation, and final validation.
    • Partner with game teams to define and support interactive music system behavior, including transitions, layering, states, and real-time logic.
    • Supervise and review interactive music implementation using middleware or game engines (e.g., Wwise, FMOD, Unreal, Unity or equivalent) and ensure performance considerations are met.
    • Guide and support external composers and vendors on interactive music design best practices for real-time gameplay.
    • Validate music content against runtime performance, memory, streaming, and platform constraints.
    • Ensure profiling, debugging, and iteration of in-game music behavior to ensure a polished player experience.
  • Team Alignment & Collaboration
    • Foster healthy collaboration, craft growth, and accountability across internal team members and external contributors
    • Maintain alignment & relationship building with partners & stakeholders at Riot LAX HQ, including League Creative eXpressions (LSCX) & Riot Games Music (RGM)
    • Facilitate collaboration & communication across global, regional, & external partners
    • Support interactive music team members through goal setting, feedback, and ongoing development.
    • Surface and escalate music-related risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs related to implementation, scope, or technical constraints.
  • Outsource & Resourcing
    • Manage outsource music production & the day-to-day work of external composers and vendors, including interactive design direction, revisions, and delivery expectations
    • Recommend and assess composers and music vendors based on creative fit, interactive design fluency, and technical delivery capability.
    • Set clear expectations for interactive deliverables, implementation readiness, and iteration cycles
  • Creative Execution & Quality
    • Guide & oversee day-to-day creative execution & iteration with external composers, ensuring music supports interactive systems and gameplay needs.
    • Oversee recording, revisions, and final music assets with gameplay constraints in mind.
    • Maintain a high creative and technical quality bar across all music deliverables
    • Provide clear actionable feedback on both musical content and in-game behavior throughout production cycles
  • Constraints & Operations
    • Balance quality, scope, time, and budget within defined production constraints
    • Validate production milestones and deliverables prior to creative sign-off and implementation.
    • Facilitate invoice submission and payment by validating milestones and coordinating with Production and Finance partners
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience composing and technically implementing music for shipped video games
  • Ability to translate creative vision and product intent into clear interactive music design briefs
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold a creative and technical quality bar without serving as a primary composer Individual Contributor
  • Experience managing outsourced music production, including interactive design guidance, revisions, and delivery expectations
  • Sound judgment in assessing composers or music vendors based on interactive design capability and production constraints
  • Working knowledge of interactive music systems and middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD or equivalent)
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Audio, Design, Product and Engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of music production workflows, recording processes, and delivery pipelines
  • Ability to balance quality, scope, time, and budget within defined constraints
  • Experience validating production milestones and facilitating invoices with Production and Finance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills across disciplines and regions
Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working at a games developer or publisher
  • Hands-on familiarity with Wwise, Unreal, Unity, or proprietary game engines.
  • Deep fandom or working knowledge of Riot IPs & their cultural/music identities.
  • Experience managing outsource vendors, composers and musicians.
  • Experience working with international teams and global music talent.

Our Perks:
  • Full relocation support
  • Full health insurance for you, your spouse, and children
  • Open paid time off
  • Retirement benefits with company matching
  • Life insurance, parental leave, plus short-term and long-term disability
  • Play Fund so you can broaden and deepen your knowledge of our players and community through games
  • We will double down on your donations of time and money to non-profits

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
