As Analysts at Riot, we build analyses that help Rioters to make difficult decisions. We are part of an interdisciplinary team that works with Rioters from other disciplines (i.e. - designers, artists, engineers, producers) to conduct studies and analyses that will inform the features, systems, and experiences of our products.

As Insight Analyst II on Wild Rift, your focus will be providing data analysis to empower the team to understand Wild Rift’s product performance. You will work closely with product managers to define data metrics and query the data to validate assumptions and measure success. You will build and maintain Tableau dashboards for Riot and partner developers to monitor the data trends. 

Responsibilities :

  • Guide product strategy through breaking down complex problems into frameworks and data insights, and partnering with game product managers to implement these 
  • Develop a strong picture of performance through developing KPIs, data visualizations, , analyzing performance drivers and player behaviors, and experiments 
  • Present work to product owners and partners using clear presentations and data visualizations
  • Create, update, and maintain regular product reportings and dashboards, and perform ad hoc data analysis
  • Partner with data engineers to design or build ETLs/pipelines and define telemetry requirements
  • Collaborate with partner teams, including central Insights teams in Los Angeles, publishing teams in Shanghai and regionally, and external to Riot teams for Wild Rift development and publishing

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, game data analytics, systems analysis, or related fields
  • Proficiency in SQL/SparkSQL, Tableau, and Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and communicating business insights
  • Experience with mobile gaming or online gaming
  • Business fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English and strong communication skills
  • Based in Singapore

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degrees in Economics, Behavioral Economics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer engineerings, a related discipline, or comparable work experiences
  • Advanced degrees or 2nd Class Upper Honors for bachelor degrees
  • Proficiency in Databricks
  • Proficiency in Python/Pyspark
  • Experience defining telemetry requirements and building ETLs/data pipelines
  • Can take broad questions and refine them into tightly-defined data requirements
