ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a successful STR Inside Sales professional, you will act with integrity while managing, nurturing and growing relationships with hotel and industry clients across your region. You will take ownership of the full sales lifecycle, using a consultative and entrepreneurial approach to sell, onboard, train and retain clients on STR’s suite of benchmarking and analytics solutions. Working as part of a collaborative, high‑performing team, you will play a key role in strengthening STR’s position as the global leader in hotel benchmarking while delivering exceptional client service and long‑term value.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct proactive research to identify and engage potential customers to generate new business opportunity subscriptions with hotel owners and operators 

  • Learn and communicate the value of our solutions tailored for clients

  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, product demonstrations (virtually), negotiating, closing, and renewals

  • Manage, retain, and develop client relationships growing data, product use and subscription value, via regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage product usage

  • Accurately track all activities and client information in the CRM system

  • Product demos to on-board and educate existing and new clients of STR’s products

  • Meet or exceed sales and activity targets

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience in inside sales, telephone sales, business development or a similar customer‑facing role

  • Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport and credibility remotely

  • A consultative selling mindset with a genuine interest in helping customers solve business challenges

  • Demonstrated ability to make a high volume of outbound calls, engaging prospects over the phone and assure routine follow-up with prospects and opportunities.

  • Experience qualifying leads, asking discovery questions and identifying customer needs

  • Comfortable working to KPIs and sales targets in a structured, metrics‑driven environment

  • Highly organised, resilient and motivated to succeed in a sales career

  • Experience selling B2B solutions, data, analytics, SaaS or online platforms

  • Familiarity with the hospitality or travel sectors preferred

  • Additional language skills relevant to assigned markets are a strong advantage (e.g. South-east Asian languages)
