Job DescriptionWe are looking for a curious and highly motivated Innovation & New Product Development Intern to support the team in exploring and developing new products and solutions, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), AI-enabled hardware, automation and emerging technologies.
The intern will gain hands-on exposure to the full innovation journey — from researching new technologies and identifying business opportunities to developing concepts, supporting prototypes and evaluating potential commercial applications.
This is an ideal opportunity for a student who is passionate about technology, AI, product development and entrepreneurship and wants to understand how an idea can be transformed into a real-world product.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology & Market Research
- Research emerging technologies, particularly in AI, generative AI, machine learning, robotics, IoT and AI hardware.
- Track developments in AI products, hardware and emerging technology markets.
- Research competitors, startups and innovative products.
- Identify potential technologies that could address business or customer needs.
- Prepare research findings, market summaries and presentations for management.
2. New Product Development
- Support the team in developing new product ideas and concepts.
- Assist with product research, requirements gathering and feasibility assessments.
- Help develop product concepts, user journeys and basic product specifications.
- Participate in brainstorming and innovation sessions.
- Support the development of proof-of-concepts (POCs), prototypes and MVPs.
3. AI & AI Hardware Projects
- Explore practical applications of AI across different industries and business processes.
- Research AI-powered products and solutions available in the market.
- Assist in evaluating AI-enabled hardware, IoT devices, sensors, edge devices and smart equipment.
- Support testing and evaluation of new AI tools, technologies and hardware.
- Document findings, performance and potential use cases.
- Strong interest in AI, technology, product development and innovation.
- Curious and willing to learn new technologies independently.
- Good research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with new and unfamiliar technologies.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of AI, programming, data analytics or product development is advantageous but not essential.
