Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Infrastructure & Service Program Director is responsible for leading, planning, and delivering complex infrastructure programmes across multiple workstreams. This role is responsible for the both delivering and overseeing the execution of large-scale projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to scope. The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills across a global organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Leadership:
Lead and coordinate infrastructure programmes from initiation to closure, aligning delivery with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Project Oversight:
Oversee a portfolio of infrastructure projects (e.g., data centers, ITIL Tooling implementations, cloud migrations, upgrades, identity access, security operations) in line with our Programme Governance practicesGovernance & Compliance:
Establish programme governance structures, risk management frameworks, and compliance tracking in line with internal and external standards and be a key advocate of standardisation across our projects.Stakeholder Management:
Engage with senior stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to manage expectations, resolve issues, and provide regular status updates.Budget & Resource Management:
Develop and control budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor programme financials to ensure cost-effective delivery.Change Management:
Manage organizational change impacts associated with infrastructure improvements, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder adoption.Team Leadership:
Mentor and lead a team (matrix) of project managers and specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience (8+ years) in infrastructure programme and project management in a global environment
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and security operations (on-prem/cloud).
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, MSP, PRINCE2) is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience with budgeting, procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, OnePlan).
Desirable Attributes:
Familiarity with sustainability and ESG considerations in infrastructure.
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
Skilled in data-driven decision-making and reporting to executive leadership.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid/onsite work depending on project requirements.
May involve occasional travel to project sites or regional offices.
