As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Identity Federations and Directories team, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes in the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities
- Be responsible for the day to day run of the critical services for the bank, ensuring projects/assignments and service improvement items are delivered to completion
- Applies technical knowledge and SRE discipline across the day to day work to continually improve infrastructure processes and security posture
- Drives automation and self-healing agenda to ensure continually uplifting service maturity
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
- Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
- Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
- Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
- Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Formal Training and certification on Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud and 3+ years of applied experience
- Extensive experience in managing Google Cloud Identity and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) Identity ecosystem.
- Experience in Managing on-prem directories (Active Directory) as well as AWS Managed Active Directory
- Knowledge of federated trust models for identity and security with hybrid + public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in operating and managing cloud-based services using IaC (infrastructure as code, Terraform or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior experience in managing complex multi-cloud hybrid identity and large scale enterprise would be an added plus
- AWS Practitioner and Google Cloud certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to deliver clear communication
- Strong skills in scripting languages such as PowerShell/Python for automation and process improvement.
- Understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and capacity planning
- Experience in leading a technical team is a plus.
