Job Description

Launch Your HR Leadership Journey 

Are you ready to accelerate your career and become a future HR leader? 

WD’s Human Resources Leadership Rotational Program (HRLRP) is a 24‑month, full‑time experience designed to accelerate the development of early‑career HR talent. Through immersive rotations, strategic projects, and exposure to senior leaders, you’ll build the HR, business, and leadership capabilities needed to thrive in a global technology environment. 

If you're passionate about people, energized by solving complex organizational challenges, and motivated to make meaningful impact, this program is your launchpad. 

Program Structure 

  • 24‑month rotational program consisting of multiple cross-functional HR assignments 
  • Cohort-based experience focused on HR Skills Development, strategic connection building, and milestone check-ins 
  • Dedicated HR leadership exposure, mentorship, and ongoing coaching 
  • Capstone deliverables and periodic presentations to senior HR leaders 
  • Designed to build enterprise thinking, HR fluency, and leadership readiness 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

What You’ll Experience 

Across your rotations, you’ll immerse yourself in how the business operates and how HR drives performance, culture, and organizational effectiveness. You will gain exposure across multiple areas of HR, with rotations that may include: People Analytics, Employee Relations, HR Business Partner, Total Rewards & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, HR Program Management, Organizational Development & additional HR functions based on business needs.  

Each rotation offers the opportunity to deepen your HR expertise, build working relationships across WD, and gain insight into how strategic people decisions influence our global workforce. 

What You’ll Do 

During the program, you will take on meaningful assignments and projects that span both strategic and operational areas of HR. Depending on your rotation, you will: 

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to understand organizational needs and recommend people-focused solutions 
  • Support performance management, talent development, and leadership readiness initiatives 
  • Navigate and interpret HR policies, employee matters, and workforce-related considerations 
  • Contribute to compensation, total rewards, and staffing projects 
  • Coordinate or support employee relations activities with confidentiality and professionalism 
  • Lead or support HR projects that impact enterprise-wide programs and people processes 
  • Translate workforce data into insights that inform business decisions 
  • Participate in organizational development or change management initiatives 
  • Build cross-functional relationships and broaden your HR acumen through exposure to senior leaders 

Through these experiences, you’ll develop a strong foundation in HR, strategic thinking, and business fluency—positioning you for long-term success at WD.

This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing foundational training though a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Human Resources, HR Management, Organizational Psychology, Employee/Labor Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Previous internship or practical experience within a People/HR function 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to collaborate well with others and build strong working relationships 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new HR systems and tools 
  • Full‑time availability beginning Summer 2026 (May/June)
