Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Singapore on a 2.5-year fixed-term contract. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive health and safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and contractors.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and international regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences
  • Provide expert guidance on health and safety matters to management and employees across all levels of the organization
  • Design and deliver safety training programs to enhance safety awareness and promote a culture of safety
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety initiatives and programs, making data-driven recommendations for improvements
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety protocols are integrated into all operational activities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation as required by regulations and company policies
  • Stay current with evolving health and safety regulations and industry best practices, implementing changes as necessary
  • Manage and mentor a team of safety professionals, fostering their growth and development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in construction or a similar industry
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed
