As the Head, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, APAC, you will provide strategic leadership across APAC markets to ensure regulatory compliance, protect existing business, and enable growth and innovation across our ingredient portfolio. This role supports development and commercialization of ingredient solutions across food and nutrition, as well as non-food sectors including animal feed, industrial paper/starches, and personal care. You will also represent APAC as a core member of the Global Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (GSRA) Leadership Team, providing regional insights that shape global/regional priorities and innovation strategies.
Own APAC regulatory strategy and ensure compliance across relevant sectors (food & nutrition plus select non-food categories).
Enable commercialization: guide claims, labels, and marketing communications with science-based, compliant positions.
Lead approvals/registrations where required to support market access across APAC.
Build strong partnerships with business and global stakeholders (innovation, marketing, quality, legal, operations).
Drive regulatory intelligence: monitor changes, assess business impact, and influence through industry associations where appropriate.
Lead and develop the APAC SRA team, building capability and prioritizing resources across markets.
Bachelor’s in Food Science / Nutrition / Biological Sciences (Master’s/PhD preferred).
Experience in regulatory affairs / SRA, in the food industry either in FMCG or B2B companies.
Proven APAC experience with approvals/registrations and local regulatory requirements.
Strong ability to translate complex regulations into clear guidance for business and leaders.
First class communication skills and ability clarify complex regulatory issues and positions.
Strong ability to interpret the impact and implications of potential regulations.
Strong ability to influence and negotiate in a multi-cultural environment.
Builds sustainable relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to deliver value for the business.
Agility to be strategic when needed, but also to be fully engaged in day-to-day executional work.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proven people/ team management experience and success across multi-cultures and geographies.
