The Head of International Business is responsible for leading and driving the overall strategy, growth, and operational excellence of international markets. This role oversees franchise partnerships, business performance, merchandise planning, and visual merchandising to deliver consistent brand excellence and profitability globally. The incumbent will identify new business opportunities, strengthen partner collaboration, optimize inventory and merchandising strategies, and ensure brand consistency across regions while leveraging data and analytics to drive strategic decisions. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth 

  • Develop and execute the international business strategy aligned with corporate goals, driving sustainable sales growth and profitability across markets. 

  • Identify and develop new market opportunities, franchise partnerships, and business models to expand the brand footprint. 

 

2. Franchise & Market Management 

  • Identify new business development opportunities 

  • Oversee negotiation and renewal of franchise agreements, ensuring compliance with commercial, operational, and legal obligations. 

  • Strengthen relationships with franchise partners to ensure alignment with brand and commercial objectives. 

  • Monitor and drive profitability and productivity in partner sales 

  • Establish best practices for franchise operations to drive performance 

 

3. Merchandise Planning & Inventory Management 

  • Develop Merchandising and Inventory Management strategies to drive wholesale business and support business planning activities 

  • Review and manage Category Open-To-Buy (rolling budget plan) of Franchisee markets; review category sales projections and optimize inventory flow to fulfill wholesale and retail targets 

  • Understand global and regional consumer demand nuances through in-depth market and data analysis, and uncover new business value levers 
    Improve retail and wholesale profitability through smart regional product and pricing strategies 

 

4. Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience 

  • Oversee international visual merchandising execution to ensure consistent brand identity across all stores. 

  • Guide local teams on campaign rollouts, window displays, and in-store presentation standards. 

  • Ensure franchise and retail teams uphold visual excellence and commercial impact through training and feedback 

 

5. Business Performance & Analytics 

  • Establish a data-driven business performance framework to monitor key market metrics, sales trends, and operational efficiency. 

  • Leverage on advanced analytics techniques and models to drive business decisions and impact. Perform complex analysis to understand how the business can maximize revenue, market share, and minimize risk in line with business trends. 

  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of reporting processes to enhance business agility. 

 

Job Requirements 

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred. 

  • At least 10–15 years of experience in international business development, franchise management, or retail operations, with leadership experience within the retail, franchise/wholesale industry. 

  • Proven track record in driving commercial growth in international or franchise markets. 

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to translate data insights into actionable strategies. 

  • Deep understanding of retail merchandising, inventory management, and visual merchandising principles. 

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset and agility in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
