As the Head of APAC Sell-Side Trading Services Sales, the Executive Director will lead the strategic direction and execution of sales initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is pivotal in driving growth, enhancing client relationships, and achieving business development objectives for our sell-side trading services. The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with a hands-on approach to ensure the effective implementation of sales strategies and client engagement.

As the Head of APAC Sell-Side Trading Services Sales, the Executive Director will lead the strategic direction and execution of sales initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is pivotal in driving growth, enhancing client relationships, and achieving business development objectives for our sell-side trading services. The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with a hands-on approach to ensure the effective implementation of sales strategies and client engagement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the APAC Sell-Side Trading Services Sales team to achieve sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to expand market share and capture new business opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Building and nurturing high-level relationships with key sell-side clients, including banks and broker-dealers, while actively engaging in client interactions and negotiations.
- Overseeing the formulation and implementation of account plans, sales pipelines, and client relationship management strategies, with a willingness to delve into the details and drive execution.
- Collaborating with global and regional teams across Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB) to align sales efforts and leverage cross-selling opportunities.
- Monitoring market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to identify strategic opportunities and risks, while actively participating in market analysis and strategy development.
- Representing J.P. Morgan at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand presence and thought leadership, with a focus on direct client engagement.
- Driving innovation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance the client experience and operational efficiency, while being actively involved in project execution.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 10+ years of sales, client-facing, or leadership experience within collateral management, securities finance, or related financial services.
- Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the APAC region.
- In-depth understanding of sell-side institutions, regulatory developments, and securities finance markets.
- Strong knowledge of global equity and bond markets, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at the executive level, while being actively involved in client interactions.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage client relationships and track sales activities.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, such as Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
