Job Description:

The jobholder will be in charge of managing the future APAC Material Support regional logistic hub based in Singapore.  In addition, he/she will assist the Head Of Material Support & Logistics of Asia- Pacific, China & India region in the definition of the Material Support strategy for the region (distribution model, stocks location, collection definition, Component repair and overhaul regional capabilities, etc.) and its implementation. 

The jobholder will:

  • Steer locally the project of relocation of APAC regional logistic hub from Hong Kong to Singapore (coordination of stakeholders, planning, cost control, risk management, reviews and reporting, etc.). 

Then post relocation,

  • Pilot the regional logistic hub in order to ensure operations on time, on quality and on budget : supervision of operations, performance monitoring, review and reporting, continuous improvement, etc. ;
  • Manage operational and contractual relationship with the Logistic Service Provider in charge of operating the logistic hub ; he/she will be in charge of managing the contract awarded to the Logistic Service Provider (contract authority, contract reviews, performance follow-up, invoicing and payment follow-up, claim management, contract change management, Customer’s feedback loop, continuous improvement, etc.).
  • Interface with regional Customer's Front Office organisations in the region ;
  • Build business relationship with Airbus Helicopters (AH) Logistics Operation stakeholders based in Europe ;
  • Implement and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal stakeholders ;
  • Contribute to the definition of the Material Support strategy for the region (including Component repair and overhaul regional capabilities) and its implementation.
  • In line with the Airbus leadership model, manage team members. Engage, develop and motivate the direct teams within Airbus Values and utilizing HR tools and processes  
  • Define and support People Development goals as defined - Provide coaching & mentorship for the team members and contribute towards their professional development.
  • Lead and inspire the team to excel in their respective responsibilities and to meet the company’s ambitions.

He/She will report to the Head Of Material Support & Logistics of Asia- Pacific, China & India region.

Additional/ Secondary Responsibilities:

  • He/She will assist Customer Front Office organization in the treatment of Customer complaints and improvement of Customer Satisfaction by taking into account Customer feedback loop in order to define and implement corrective action plan (Customer care).
  • He/She will contribute to the definition of the worldwide material Support strategy (logistics footprint optimization, performance improvement, etc.) led by AH Logistics operation organization.

The jobholder is expected to hold high standards in the following areas:

  • Excellent interpersonal/team and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, in any environment

  • Proven leadership skills and abilities to lead and excel in multicultural and diverse environments, with experience in developing people/teams

  • Dynamic and open minded, take proactive approach in performing all task

Qualification and Professional Skills

  • Degree/ Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management and/or Business Related Field 
  • More than 10 years of working experience in logistics and supply chain related fields. Working experiences in aviation industry is preferred
  • Working experiences with customers in APAC countries. 
  • Solid understanding of export control-related regulations 
  • Ability to manage and advise internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Proven track record of strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals; of which at least 5 years of experiences in managerial - functional or operational positions
  • More than 10 years of working experience in Customer support
