Purpose
The Actuarial Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining profitability and driving growth by providing actuarial and portfolio management support to the senior actuarial and management team.
As a key member of the Regional Consumer portfolio management team, the analyst is actively involved in supporting the Accident & Health (A&H) lines of business, with a primary focus on Leisure Travel and Basic Book (Corporate accounts) portfolios.
Responsibilities include conducting quarterly portfolio reviews, monthly monitoring of actual versus expected results, and performing data extraction, reconciliation, and actuarial analysis.
The analyst is expected to automate processes wherever possible to enhance efficiency. Additionally, the role supports the annual planning loss peg process for designated lines of business, including contributions to the Strategic Plan and Rebridge activities.
Responsibilities
Planning & Rebridge pegs
Ensure that yearly Rebridge/Planning/Strategic Planning peg is appropriately recommended by reflecting future business mix change and latest experience as well as impact of underwriting actions and agreed by the business unit and actuaries.
Quarterly Portfolio Review
Participate in the Consumer lines Reserve Review process performed by actuaries and engage UW team and the business units.
Tracking of loss pegs (Central and MBE) against the Actual and DCBE.
Monthly Actual vs Expected
Work closely with Regional actuarial team in monitoring monthly AvE and attend for early signals
Portfolio Management
Conduct detailed portfolio management segmentation analysis for Travel and Basic Book portfolio.
A&H/IPL Product/Business in actuarial, Insurance knowledge and understanding Chubb
Proven record of ability to work effectively in a highly-matrixed organization across all levels of an organization.
Possess strong influencing and interpersonal skills, honed in a demanding and high performing work environment.
Pricing and underwriting A&H/IPL accounts in a multinational environment.
Advanced level of programs and EMBLEM
Actuarial reserving & pricing experience
