Posting Description:
As a seasoned Investment Banking professional with a focus onconsumer and retail, you'll have experience developing strong relationships with corporates and financial institution clients in Asia and working across different products. Expected sector focus across the entire consumer and retail value chain, ranging from agriculture and upstream, packaged food, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and retail.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on deals and transactions across the spectrum of our banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals with a focus on Asia, but also have the opportunity to work on global cross border deals involving Asia clients
  • Review and coordinate the analytical work of junior bankers to drive marketing/execution process forward
  • Refine marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact and oversee the creation of financial models
  • Liaise with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. lawyers, accountants, third party consultants)
  • Lead client negotiations, Q&A process and management interviews
  • Participate in business and company events to identify new business opportunities and pitch for new clients
  • Responsible for mentoring analysts and associates and assisting them in developing their industry and corporate finance skills


Required Qualifications, Capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 6 years' experience working in the front office of a top tier Investment Bank, private equity fund, or in-house corporate advisory
  • Demonstrable proficiency with industry trends and terms and corporate finance
  • Highly driven, detail-oriented, diligent with strong analytical, communication and writing skills
  • Strong historical performance reviews
  • Well versed in Mergers & Acquisition ( M&A) and track record of leading the execution of transactions
  • Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently and in team


Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in consumer and retail sector verticals, including agriculture, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), retail, among others, across Asia Pacific Investment Banking is preferred
