Kimberly-Clark is looking for an ambitious, self-driven individual to lead our Global Moist Wipes Procurement Strategy as part of the External Contract Manufacturing team. As a Global Category Specialist, you will make a difference by creating a connected community across our Moist Wipes Procurement and ECM operations teams, deploying the global category strategy, and building a resilient, cost-effective supply chain through data-focused analytics, stakeholder management, and supplier relationships.

In this role you will: 

Category Strategy & Governance

  • Help place K-C at the forefront of Moist Wipes External Contract Manufacturing through collaboration across multiple supply chain functions.
  • Provide a sound understanding of the Moist Wipes/business market dynamics and benchmarking.
  • Lead the development of a global procurement strategy and ensure seamless alignment with local, regional and global requirements.
  • Develop recommendations through fact-based analysis in support of a resilient, cost-effective supply base aligned with business and product requirements
  • Drive efficiency by reducing complexity and promoting standardization wherever possible.
  • Collaborate with cross functional product owners across Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Transportation, Manufacturing, Quality and Safety teams to achieve challenging goals
  • Develop strategic supplier partnerships that deliver measurable business opportunities and continuous innovation.
  • Govern and enforce the category strategy and K-C processes, while leading with a continuous improvement mindset for routine category strategy updates.

Engagement & Change Management

  • Establish trust and create an environment of accountability with stakeholders impacted by ECM goals and objectives.
  • Routinely influence at all levels of leadership through routine, succinct communication
  • Lead peer and cross-functional teams across multiple levels of the organization in the creation and execution of Moist Wipes strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead market benchmarking and supplier scans to inform initiative prioritization, supplier selection, and negotiation strategy

Commercial Leadership & Risk Management

  • Drive out single source suppliers where applicable and lead informed RFx events to achieve a balanced scorecard for the category
  • Partner with other ECM Procurement team members in the ownership and execution of all commercial terms and supplier negotiations
  • Promote best practice development and sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with all K-C Code of Conduct and Procurement rules.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or relevant field
  • 7+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain, or related business experience
  • Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Stakeholder Management
  • Experience developing multi-year category and supplier relationship strategies across a diverse product and supplier portfolio
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience leveraging data and benchmarking to achieve target contract structures and pricing agreements
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage programs in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to work across global regions, cultures, and time zones
  • Ability to reconcile diverse business strategies and challenges
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Coupa, SAP, and ETQ
  • Experience with non-wovens based products through supply chain or technical roles
  • Understanding of finished product manufacturing processes

Salary Range: 127,600 – 157,600 USDAt Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
