Job Title: Brand Manager, ARD - MYSG
Location: Selangor, Malaysia
About the role:
The job required the person to...
  • Lead the strategic and tactical marketing efforts for our Gastroenterology portfolio across Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that drive growth, increase market share, and strengthen our value proposition among healthcare professionals.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver impactful omnichannel campaigns, medical events, and customer engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive marketer with strong scientific acumen, a passion for healthcare, and a proven track record in product management within the pharmaceutical industry.
How you will contribute:
Functional (primary job responsibilities)
1) Strategic Planning & Brand Management
  • Develop and implement brand strategies, including life cycle plan, pricing and annual marketing objectives.
  • Monitor brand performance and adapt strategies based on market insights and competitive landscape.
  • Drive regional brand synergy between Malaysia and Singapore to optimize resources and outcomes.

2) Tactical Execution
  • Lead the development of sales aids, promotional materials (digital & non-digital), advertising and HCP engagement initiatives.
  • Manage material approval processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (i.e. PromoMats).
  • Coordinate and support successful product launches and medical education activities.

3) Market Intelligence & Analysis
  • Analyse internal and external market data to guide decision-making.
  • Stay up to date with scientific literature, customer needs, and industry trends.
  • Commission market research and gather field insights to inform strategy.

4) Digital & Omnichannel Marketing
  • Plan and execute integrated digital campaigns to support HCP engagement.
  • Track campaign performance and optimize activities based on KPIs and ROI.

5) Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), speakers, and brand advocates.
  • Partner with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Compliance, Market Access and Finance teams to align brand initiatives.

6) Training & Product Leadership
  • Act as a brand champion across the organization.
  • Provide training and updates to internal teams on product knowledge, competitor landscape, and market developments.
  • Conduct regular field visits and support sales force effectiveness.

7) Budget Management
  • Prepare and manage annual marketing budgets and ensure optimal investment with A&P allocation.

What you bring to Takeda:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, applied science or business (with basic marketing knowledge preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with additional experience in pharmaceutical marketing being a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of scientific data and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Proven experience in brand planning, campaign execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to a dynamic market environment.
