About the opportunity:

We are looking for a General Counsel who can join us along this mission and vision. You’ll become an integral part of the Legal team, prioritising the highest standards of legal compliance and regulatory adherence to ensure a secure and trustworthy platform for our users. What you’ll be working on:

• Licensing Applications: Oversee and manage the process of obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses for operating within various jurisdictions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company's operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, including those related to digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to protect the company's interests.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company's operations and new business ventures.
• Corporate Governance: Advise senior management and the board of directors on corporate governance and legal implications of strategic decisions.
• External Relations: Represent the company in legal proceedings and liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies.
• Training and Development: Provide training to staff on legal issues and regulatory requirements.

About you:

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with significant experience in the cryptocurrency or financial services industry.
• Licensing Expertise: Proven track record in leading licensing applications for financial or digital asset companies.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the digital asset space.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with digital asset or cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Knowledge of international regulations and licensing processes.
• Familiarity with Web3 and blockchain technologies.
