Business description: Fixed Income Product Strategy 

BlackRock’s Fixed Income team manages more than $3.0 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest arrays of investment choices across model-based and fundamental investment styles. 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead partnerships with the client business, marketing, and other key stakeholders to promote and support BlackRock’s fixed income products in Japan 

  • Represent the product and the portfolio manager at review meetings, market updates, and ad-hoc portfolio-related meetings independently or with minimal assistance from senior strategists 

  • Communicate investment outlooks and market intelligence to key clients in Japan, leveraging global resources of the firm 

  • Oversee the development of product materials including slides, marketing materials, RFPs, reports, and written materials 

  • Proactively respond to client requests and queries, including managing complex and deep due diligence processes 

  • Drive new product developments from idea generation to implementation, partnering with a diverse set of stakeholders 

 

Qualifications: 

  • In-depth understanding of the asset management industry and capital markets, particularly fixed income, preferably from a product specialist / portfolio management role 

  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English and Japanese 

  • Proven experience in understanding the needs of strategic clients 

  • Good presentation skills and ability to deliver pertinent facts in a concise way 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form meaningful working partnerships
