About the Department
The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.
Financial Strategy
The Financial Strategy team within Group Finance and Corporate Services plays a pivotal role in supporting UOB’s strategic financial objectives. The team partners closely with business units and senior management to ensure the efficient deployment of capital and balance sheet resources, provide forward‑looking financial insights, and drive data‑driven decision‑making across the Group. Responsibilities span capital optimization, financial modeling and strategic advisory.
Job Responsibilities
The candidate will join the Capital Management Team and play a key role in leading and executing capital management initiatives across the Group.
The role will be benchmarked at VP or First VP level, depending on experience and demonstrated leadership capability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reviewing the Group’s capital positions to ensure adequacy and compliance.
- Maintaining and enhancing capital dashboards, forecasts, and analytical tools.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory, legal, and accounting developments, and assessing their implications on capital planning, strategy, and optimization.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards for RWA and RoRWA monitoring to support business insights and decision-making.
- Recommending strategies to optimize the Group’s capital structure and improve RoRWA efficiency.
- Supporting and contributing to initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and Group Strategic objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or an equivalent professional certification.
- 8+ years of experience in the banking or financial services sector, with strong familiarity with RWA, MAS 637, and Basel regulatory frameworks.
- Proactive, meticulous, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline‑driven setting.
- Resourceful with strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with business, finance, and other stakeholders.
- Passionate about using data analytics and financial modeling to generate insights that support high‑quality decision‑making.
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing ability, and strong stakeholder management skills.
