Job Overview

Singapore is the regional hub for ING, including for market risk activities. There are a number of different Financial Markets and Group Treasury desks controlled/supported by TRM including rates, credits, FX, structured products, non-linear derivatives, etc.

Within Trading Risk Management (TRM), the Control, Regulatory and Consolidation Risk and Product Control team provides project support for wider TRM teams on control, regulatory and consolidated initiatives that impact TRM. The team consolidates Risk, P&L and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) data for regional management and head office reporting. The team supports the wider department on monthly regulatory market risk submissions and queries.

Main Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a replacement to the team to:
  • Consolidate risk, P&L and KRI data from multiple desks and locations across the region for regional and head office reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver the monthly Parameter Committee Pack for Singapore and Asia.
  • Consolidate and prepare regulatory reports for trading risk department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Create report and dashboards using programming skills to support standardized reporting.
  • Support the risk teams in the locations in Asia as well as in Singapore in increasing the automation of tasks to enhance efficiency as well as control.
  • Work on ongoing projects related to risk, product control management and process improvement.
  • Conduct business and regulatory requirements and collaborate with different stakeholders (e.g., IT, risk managers and Finance) to rollout various initiatives.
  • Assist the team lead in specific control, regulatory and consolation tasks as and when required.

Key Competencies

  • The key requirements for this function are:
  • Understanding of financial concepts, including risk, balance sheets and P&L.
  • Proficiency in programming skills on (Excel macros\VBA\SQL\Python)
  • Good communication skills and Critical/analytical thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with strict timelines.
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and independent mindset.
  • Experience with trading risk management and/or product control would be an advantage.
