In this role, you will report to the financial reporting lead to ensure the success of operation and production of IFRS compliant reporting. You will also involve in the testing of any system changes, and opportunity to continue to support the modernisation project across other entities within Prudential.

Job Description:

Technical & Financial

  • Involve in the monthly IFRS17 reporting to ensure inputs to the IFRS17 solution are correct and timely 
  • Involve in the analysis of business results and outputs from the reporting systems, especially in the quarterly group reporting
  • Prepare documents and walkthrough the process with auditors in terms of the IFRS17 review
  • Involve in system enhancements which cover documentation, testing and rectification
  • Coordinate IFRS17 related audit requests from various stakeholders
  • Any other non-IFRS17 relating reporting works could be assigned to you
  • Involve in system testing on any enhancement done to the reporting system
  • Opportunity to support other Prudential entities on similar works after end of the system enhancements

Who we are looking for:

Competencies & Personal Traits

  • Sound knowledge on Financial Reporting Standards on insurance contracts, financial knowledge, and understand how to tackle IFRS 17 issues and provide solutions
  • Experience in day to day reporting and operation matters, and have an overview of the Finance operations and reporting structure in Life insurance industry
  • Experience in dealing with auditors
  • Detailed, meticulous, resilient and strong analytics skills
  • Involve in system testing on any enhancement done to the reporting system
  • Opportunity to support other Prudential entities on similar works after end of the system enhancements

Working Experience

  • Min 5 years of experience in financial accounting and analysis, IFRS 17 projects or auditing
  • Experience and major involvement in IFRS17 related works in a life insurance company

Professional Qualifications

  • CA/CPA/ACCA

Educationg

  • Degree in Accountancy or recognised accounting
