PURPOSE

FWD Singapore aims to change the way people feel about insurance by leveraging technology to deliver products and services that are relevant, easy to understand and always convenient for our customers. We are looking for someone who would like to make an impact and join us on our journey.

As part of the Finance Operation team, this role reports to the Senior Finance Manager. This role provides opportunities and exposures to various finance operation process, for Procurement and Accounts Payable. This is an 6 months’ maternity cover role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Handle staff reimbursement and vendor payment
  • Assist in vendors management, including new vendors set-up, handle queries, etc
  • Assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliation, such as bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly journals, such as payroll entries and bank charges etc
  • Preparation of Life & GI policy payment
  • Any other ad-hoc matters

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Fresh accounting graduate may be considered
  • Strong accounting fundamentals
  • Good MS excel skills (Formulas, Vlookup, Pivot table)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

  • Agile and able to adapt to fast changing environment
  • Well-organised, detail oriented and systematic
  • Positive attitude and willing to learn
  • Able to work well under tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in team
  • Ability to liaise with and work across departments
  • Good knowledge on Oracle accounting system as well as policy systems (including AS400, eBao)
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting standards (including IFRS and GST)
