Perks & Benefits We are seeking an experienced, driven and strategic Finance Director to lead Finance Operations for our Singapore and Malaysia entities This role will manage core finance operations, drive process excellence, and act as a key bridge between finance and other functions. You will work in close partnership with cross-functional teams across Data, Product, Legal, Compliance, and HR to ensure cohesive execution of business and financial strategies. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in financial institutions, and a foundation in Big 4 audit.
Finance Operations & Leadership
- Lead daily finance operations, including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and month-end close.
- Manage and mentor the local finance ops team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high standards of delivery.
- Improve and optimise the month-end closing process.
- Review quarterly financial package and coordinate with Group Finance on group reporting requirements.
- Prepare finance updates for quarterly board meetings, providing key insights.
- Work closely with Treasury to manage liquidity, banking, and intercompany transactions.
- Collaborate with Tax to ensure compliance with local tax laws, GST filings, and transfer pricing.
- Partner with data to drive automation of data extracts to support analytics, and reporting.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to draft finance documents aligned with business processes, and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance overall effectiveness
- Lead regional finance on ad-hoc company/regional projects.
- Liaise with external auditors to manage annual statutory audits and ensure timely completion.
- Strengthen and implement robust internal controls to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies
- Improve documentation of accounting processes to enhance clarity, consistency, and audit readiness.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline finance processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Drive automation and implement systems that enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Act as a change agent to modernize finance operations in line with OKX’s global strategy.
- Implement best practices across regional finance operations in alignment with group-wide standards.
- Take ownership of special projects such as new business lines/entities setup, ERP enhancements, internal system improvements , etc, at company's/regional/global levels
- Act as a key finance point-of-contact for regulatory/ financial reporting or internal strategic initiatives.
- A good understanding of Crypto industry
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CA is a must and MBA is preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in finance operations with at least 6 years in a leadership capacity.
- Big 4 audit background is required.
- Strong background in regulated environments such as financial services.
- Solid knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia environment, accounting standards, and tax rules.
- Proven ability to drive process improvement and lead cross-functional initiatives, and taking ownership beyond a traditional finance scope
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite), data extraction tools (e.g. Python/SQL), RPA tools (e.g. UiPath) and other reporting tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style.

- Proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- High integrity, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good command in both spoken and written in English, and Chinese Mandarin
