Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities:- The selected Applications Engineer will join a dynamic team that makes a significant impact to the company every day.
- Responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA’s state-of-the-art products in customer fabrication facilities. This includes investigating semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and providing inspection solutions at our customer’s advance manufacturing facilities.
- Makes presentations on all aspects of products to KLA management and customer management.
- Assists sales manager in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer technical requirements and preparing detailed product specifications
- Provides follow-up support in training customers and disseminating technical information on specific applications.
- Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation, design of experiments, and communication between customers and specialists.
- The candidate will gain exposure to Product Marketing, Business & Sales Processes.
- The candidate will undergo rigorous training on KLA’s most advanced equipment. There could be opportunities to travel and work at various KLA’s world-wide facilities and Headquarters based in Silicon Valley, USA.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related field.

The semiconductor space is a fast paced, high stress environment that gives applications engineers a lot of autonomy to work and drive projects on their own. Ideal candidates will appreciate the opportunity to have high levels of accountability, works well with limited supervision and thrive in a work environment where they can drive projects on their own.
- Candidate must have Master’s or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
- Must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skill.
- Candidate must also be self-driven, yet a strong team player to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Candidate shows persistence and dedication to understanding and solving critical customer problems
