Micron Global Quality Engineering department is dedicated to ensuring that Micron's products maintain their world-class standard. As a FE Central Quality PQE engineer, you will play a meaningful role in our engineering team, driving quality initiatives and ensuring seamless product integration. This key role drives standardized system implementation, ensures measurable improvements in quality performance, operational efficiency, labor productivity and strategic transformative quality programs. The ideal candidate will have strong program management skills, deep understanding of fab operations, and experience in data-driven collaboration with external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Successful implementation and lead all aspects of strategic transformative quality engineering programs across global network.
- Develop and manage quality program plans, timelines, and deliverables for multi-fab/cross geography/cross-functional initiatives.
- Define, track and drive KPIs for speed execution alignment initiatives, including business values, labor productivity, yield improvement, and system adoption metrics.
- Provide regular updates to sponsors and stakeholders on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with stakeholders including quality teams, IT/SMAI (Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence) and other relevant parties/teams to integrate project plans into fab workflows, assess progress and recalibrate priorities.
- Coordinate pillar leads and sub-projects to ensure seamless execution across fabs and central teams.
- Promote best practices in program governance and continuous improvement.
- Develop necessary communication package and publicity to the required stakeholders in order to increase engagement and promote adoption rate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Science or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field.
- Experience in project management and cross-sites coordination with demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives and compete at a global scale.
- 5 years proven experience in quality engineering within a high-tech environment with deep understanding of quality systems, fab manufacturing operations and process flows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and suppliers.
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with programming and data analytics tools (SQL, Python, Extract Transform and Load processes) and visualization platforms.
- Understanding of machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, agentic AI and predictive modeling.
- Deep understanding of data analytics skills to provide actionable insights to existing data.
- Familiarity with rich data analysis and collaboration with suppliers
