The opportunity

Local reporting is a critical element of Manulife's operations in Singapore both from a regulatory reporting perspective as well as successfully managing the reserves and capital for a large insurance organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Support local reporting team with statutory reporting requirements including LIA, CPF, MAS reporting.
  • Support local reporting team with group reporting requirements including Local Capital report, Early Warning Testing
  • Document methodologies and assumptions used in valuation
  • Support adherence to statutory regulations, and corporate compliance and risk management policies.
  • Support ad-hoc projects

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
  • Good progress with actuarial exams from a recognized Actuarial examination body.
  • At least 2 years of actuarial reporting and valuation experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in statistical and actuarial software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Access, etc)
  • Working knowledge of AXIS will be an advantage
