As an Equities Settlement Associate within Equities Operations focusing on Hong Kong and China Connect Markets, you will be responsible for the processing and assisting the team manager in monitoring the daily workflow within HK Broker-Dealer (BD) Settlements. This role provides the platform to interact with other global partners like the front office and traders, middle office teams, client service managers, product partners, and other regional processing teams in the Line of Business on daily operational matters including monitoring, analyzing and advocating continuous improvement of the service delivery relationship between JP Morgan and the clients by leveraging various systems and digital tools across the organization.

Job responsibilities
- Provide competent operational and administration support to daily clearing operations, resolving exceptions and contingency situations swiftly and professionally.
- Be proficient with the workflow through the life cycle of broker dealer settlements which includes HK and China Connect markets.
- Be proficient and manage the end to end Hong Kong ETF creation and redemption for the clients.
- Maximize capacity utilization, self & activity time management.
- Ensure daily controls & processing are signed off including cash and stock break, event management, as well as support manager in producing all key metrics.
- Ensure clear communications within the team as well as with stakeholders.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date with latest process changes driven by market/client.
- Support management on strategic development of various equities Cash agency, Prime HK/China Connect products.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent minimum with 5 years of relevant experience in Equities Operations
- Solid experience in Hong Kong and China Connect equity Settlements, Risks & Control and reconciliation processes.
- Solid Experience in Hong Kong ETF creation & redemption process.
- Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes.
- Prioritize activities / tasks and ensure achieving all deadlines. Guide juniors in achieving the time management.
- Build rapport with management, with stakeholders such as MO, Business/product, Finance, client settlements team, external parties including custodians/participants with clear communication i.e., verbal & written.
- Analytical thinker, able to suggest and implement process improvements as well as problem solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

- Proficiency in digital tools like Alteryx, Tableau
