The Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll wear many hats—consultant, strategist, coach, trainer, and

problem-solver. You’ll collaborate directly with clients, stakeholders, and teams to drive meaningful, measurable change.


What You’ll Do:

  1. Partner with defence and public service leaders to identify challenges and co-create solutions.
  2. Use data, OKRs, and metrics to uncover bottlenecks, track outcomes, and measure results—not just activity.
  3. Present relatable, actionable solutions, helping clients take confident first steps toward change.
  4. Create safe spaces for collaboration, ensuring clients feel supported and engaged in the journey.
  5. Implement frameworks like Agile or Lean only when relevant, explaining their purpose in practical terms.
  6. Balance ambition with pragmatism, focusing on long-term impact through meaningful progress.

What a Day Might Look Like:

  1. Morning: Facilitate a workshop with defence stakeholders to map inefficiencies in procurement.
  2. Midday: Analyse cycle times and bottlenecks, preparing data-driven recommendations.
  3. Afternoon: Collaborate with teams to design OKRs for upcoming transformation initiatives.
  4. Evening: Reflect on progress, document lessons learned, and plan for upcoming sessions.

Through it all, you bring patience, empathy, and lightness—making the transformation journey

impactful, human, and even enjoyable.


What You Bring

  1. Business & Management Consulting: You specialize in strategic planning, decision-making, and managing organizational dynamics. With a proven track record in client engagement, business development, and crafting persuasive proposals
  2. Digital & Software Expertise: You are experienced and adept with XP practices, DevOps tools, platforms, and navigating the challenges of restrictive environments.
  3. Enterprise agility: You know not only know agile, lean, and frameworks but also how and when to apply them practically to deliver real-world outcomes.
  4. Facilitation & Change Management: You’re a skilled communicator, coach, and collaborator who inspires teams through change. Not so much of a trainer but a facilitator who can promote and engage audience powerfully and playfully.
