Job DescriptionSite Reliability Engineering:
The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of Sitecore’s cloud-native products. It is a team of engineers with a mission to make reliability a first-class feature of our platforms, enabling Sitecore to deliver trusted, scalable digital experiences to millions of end users worldwide while supporting rapid product evolution.
The team works closely with product and platform engineering teams to define, measure, and improve service reliability through practices such as service level indicators and objectives (SLIs/SLOs), incident management, automation, and toil reduction. The SRE team focuses on building strong observability foundations, improving operational readiness, and driving a reliability-first engineering culture across Sitecore. By combining deep systems expertise with strong collaboration, the team helps ensure that Sitecore services remain highly available, resilient, and performant as they continue to grow and evolve.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced engineering manager who excels in operational strategy to scale our technology, processes and team effectiveness. In this role, you will focus on establishing robust operational processes, minimizing downtime, increasing reliability and streamlining delivery pipelines. Leading a skilled technical team, your priorities will be to optimize processes, establish clear operational metrics, and foster collaboration across R&D teams to enable seamless and reliable product delivery.

- Lead, manage, attract, inspire, and mentor technology talent while aligning strengths to organizational goals
- Maintain and build happy, motivated, and professional employees that continuously try to improve and excel
- Advance a thriving team by cultivating a culture rooted in product/engineering ownership, agility, and encourages innovative thinking in agile delivery
- Identify and remove roadblocks for your team
- Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead members to their optimum performance levels
- Provide oversight to ensure adequate focus on stability, scalability, performance and quality during design and development decisions
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to compliance with company policies and ensures that team members consistently adhere to established guidelines.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience in managing resources including thoughtful leadership to translate business needs into functional requirements
- History of working on enterprise scale cloud infrastructure / Devops/ Site Reliability Engineering projects for SaaS applications.
- Experience with cloud & container-based applications
- Experience in cross functional areas including quality, security, build, deployment & support
- Passion for managing continuous optimizations/enhancements
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, enabling clear decision‑making, effective team collaboration, and productive engagement with stakeholders and executive leadership
- Proven ability to deliver complex initiatives with high quality and predictable timelines, while coaching the team on prioritization and ensuring accountability for commitments
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to enhance growth of your direct reports
- Strong working ethics and professional role model for your direct reports for compliance with company policies, fostering a culture of accountability and ensuring that all team members follow required standards and guidelines
Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:
- Have a broad knowledge of software architecture, microservice design, container orchestration, and cloud concepts
- Be able to think at the macro level, while ensuring the design works on the micro-level
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and hands-on experience aligning cloud infrastructure and operational processes to meet these standards
