Job Description

The Visa Direct Commercialization and Solutions team is responsible for leading Visa’s efforts to support all channels and extend payments “beyond the card”. Building on Visa Direct’s market leading platform, the Visa Direct service enables corporates, governments, banks. Fintechs, etc., unprecedented options to send payments domestic and crossborder and collect overseas payments for consumers and businesses around the world.

We are seeking a Product Solutions Team Leader for the Fintech client vertical who can help drive critical growth initiatives, both globally and regionally, in a complex, matrixed environment.  The ideal candidate will be a structured, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in how products are developed and delivered. S/he enjoys variety and collaborating with people. S/he is thoughtful, curious and analytical with a desire to make an impact. S/he is client-centric and oriented around finding solutions to complex problems.

This Product Solutions Team Leader role will report to the Regional Head of Commercialization and Solutions for Visa Direct and will be accountable for presales support, client solutioning and various commercialization initiatives of the Visa Direct capabilities to Digital Partners, Fintech, Big Tech Platforms and Merchants launching new programs and use cases as well as growing existing programs. Equal parts product ownership and solutioning the role holder will plan, think through, develop and support commercialization of the Visa Direct capabilities such as cross border payments to accounts and wallets and overseas collections and hold, convert of currencies with clients and partners.

The Fintech solutions team is responsible for the sales, commercialization & solutioning of a suite of solutions for Visa Direct money movement. These are all payment services that Visa provides to licensed non-FI clients (remitters, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements and collections to accounts around the world. Money Movement consumer and business applications include person to person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payments to landscaper), cross border remittance and funds disbursements (e.g., marketplace seller payouts, insurance claim disbursements, acquirer merchant settlement) and overseas collections for Trade and E-marketplaces use cases.  

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading the Fintech solutions team and working collaboratively with front line sales and account executives of Digital Partners, Fintech, Big Tech Platforms and Merchant clients, solutions team in the hub and in-country Visa Direct team members for solution pitches during pre-sales stage and managing post sales client on-boarding and program launches. Working within the organization for timely solution launches, you will lead engagements with senior client stakeholders for value proposition pitch and help create solutions for various cross-border opportunities. You will need to:

 

  • Consult with clients, partners and prospects to design solutions that accelerate adoption of Visa Direct
  • Support team members collaborating with segment and sales leads, to sell Visa Direct products to Fintech, Digital Partners, Big Tech platforms, Merchants etc.
  • Provide business and technical solutions for new use-cases penetrating target markets, by assessing market/client/prospect needs, reviewing ecosystem readiness, collaboration with regional, global, and product and commercialization teams
  • Enable solutions by working with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Client Support (CS), Risk, Compliance, AML, and other product teams across Visa
  • Be a Visa Direct product SME and support client deal implementations and program launch journey with the objective of achieving high quality launches that scale faster driving revenue realization
  • Monitor business enhancement releases and other product related changes and be a focal point of contact for the AP region
  • Represent voice of the client within the product roadmap and work closely with product development teams to ensure readiness in implementing new solutions

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of experience in payments, banking or payment processing, having performed presales, product management, or client solutioning roles. Experience in cross-border payments and/or collections solutions is preferred. Mandarin speaking is a plus.
  • Experience in developing a cross -border payment flows business within Asia Pacific region, such as personal transfers, wallet transfers, overseas collections, other disbursements for digital or fintech players
  • Skilled at client conversations and can clearly articulate technical solutions
  • Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way.
  • Understanding of mobile, API and service-oriented architecture
  • Organizational and leadership abilities to influence team members to execute and drive results
  • Embrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that is rapidly evolving
  • Consultative product solutions experience within an enterprise or financial services environment
  • Knowledge of regional market, competitive landscape and related dynamics
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems with customer at the center
