We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to build and lead our India software engineering team, playing a crucial role in our technical direction and development of groundbreaking solutions in cloud networking.
Work Model: In-Office Preferred (3 days in office)
Role and Responsibilities
As the Director of Software Engineering, you will:
- Lead Technically and Strategically: Serve as a technical leader, setting the strategic direction for the engineering team and ensuring alignment with our global objectives.
- Team Recruitment and Expansion:Oversee the recruitment process, building an initial team size of 20-30 members with significant room for future growth.
- Direct Performance Management:Implement performance management systems that foster high performance and continuous improvement in alignment with business goals.
- Project Oversight:Ensure successful execution of projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams like product management and customer support to maintain exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration and Communication:Maintain effective communication across all team levels, promoting a culture of collaboration and shared success.
Qualifications and Experience
- A track record of leading software engineering teams, with at least 15 years in software development and 8 years in a senior management role.
- Deep expertise in Cloud Service Provider environments and large-scale distributed systems..
- A master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Expertise in Cloud orchestration/observability/metrics/UI/UX AI and ML areas required.

Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering, ensuring strategic alignment and effective execution of projects.

Your total compensation package will be based on job-related knowledge, education, certifications and location, per our aligned ranges.
