Job Summary
Entegris is seeking a Director, EHS Business Partner based in Kallang Place, Singapore to join our team. Responsible for leading the environmental, health and safety (EHS) program for the Advanced Purity Solutions (APS) division, including facilities, offices, and research & development (R&D) facilities, as part of the Entegris Global EHS organization. Leads the EHS program implementation, management, and improvement within the APS division including deployment of EHS programs and standards, EHS regulatory compliance, training, incident investigation, auditing, and performance evaluation; responsible for implementation and leadership of these programs among all Entegris commercial divisions and operating facilities with activities in the APS division. Provides guidance, leadership, and technical support to a team of EHS professionals in the APS division supporting Entegris commercial and operational activities to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, standards and professional codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of EHS policies, programs, and procedures in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations for Entegris facilities and commercial activities in the APS Division (sales >$1.1B annually) with direct accountability for EHS professions in Asia
- Collaborate with the EHS Director, Asia and EHS BP APS to ensure consistency and execution on APS Asia division EHS initiatives and projects
- Recruit, develop and lead EHS professionals to provide effective compliance support to Entegris facilities and commercial activities in the APS Division
- Lead implementation and maturity of behavioral based safety programs such as Safe Start.
- Develop, implement, and manage training programs for managers, supervisors and employees regarding worksite safety practices, incident prevention, compliance management, process safety management, and other EHS programs in coordination with the Director, Global EHS Systems
- Support management of change for new projects and modifications to existing processes and facilities to identify and resolve EHS issues, and incorporate lessons learned from prior projects. Lead efforts to secure all required environmental permits, licenses and authorizations associated with projects and modifications, supporting overall APS division initiatives
- Implement and lead audit programs to identify existing or potential EHS hazards and liabilities, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and manage the resolution of identified issues
- Provide support on recurring environmental compliance obligations, including compliance recordkeeping, reporting, testing, etc.
- Manage incident investigation and reporting programs and ensure that investigations of accidents and compliance incidents are conducted, documented, and reported
- Coordinate responsive communication with governmental agencies including information requests, investigations/inspections, and enforcement activity. Oversee EHS support to operating facilities during investigations/inspections of facility inspections by regulatory agencies
- Manage the collection, reporting and evaluation of applicable EHS metrics
- Develop and manage the EHS budget for the APS/ Asia Organization
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requisite Criteria & Skills
- At least 10 years of EHS program development, implementation, and leadership experience in industrial settings.
- Demonstrated success leading improvement of safety culture and EHS performance and implementation of behavioral based safety programs
- Strong knowledge of, and experience with, major health & safety programs including, but not limited to Lockout-Tagout-Try, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Process Safety Management, etc.
- Strong knowledge of, and experience with, major environmental regulatory and permitting programs
- Experience working with independent standards organizations and certification programs such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Care, etc.
- Demonstrated expertise in the successful delivery of outstanding results through effective EHS program development, implementation, and management
- Strong “consultant” skills, including the ability to influence and motivate leaders and employees through collaborative engagement and building/maintaining relationships
- High energy, motivation, and commitment to take personal ownership of issues and drive them to exceptional outcomes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate information to a broad range of people and audiences as circumstances dictate
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical reports and regulatory documents/standards, make sound judgments, and offer effective solutions
- Ability to successfully manage and develop personnel in remote locations and work in a team environment across multi-site organizations, including 3rd party consultants
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time is required
