About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and technically strong Director of Reliability Engineering to lead and scale our reliability strategy across our semiconductor foundry operations. This role is critical in ensuring the long-term performance, quality, and robustness of our products and processes, supporting both customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership 

  • Define and drive the foundry-wide reliability roadmap aligned with business and customer requirements. 

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to embed reliability into design, process, and manufacturing stages. 

  • Reliability Program Management 

  • Oversee reliability testing, qualification, and failure analysis for new technologies and products. 

  • Establish and maintain reliability standards, methodologies (e.g., JEDEC, AEC-Q100), and best practices. 

  • Team & Capability Building 

  • Build and mentor a high-performing reliability engineering team. 

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. 

  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customer reliability audits and inquiries. 

  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering teams to resolve reliability issues. 

  • Data-Driven Decision Making 

  • Leverage data analytics and predictive modeling to identify reliability risks and optimize test strategies. 

  • Monitor field returns and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions. 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field; PhD preferred. 

  • 15+ years of experience in semiconductor reliability engineering. At least 5 years in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage people. 

  • Deep knowledge of reliability physics, failure mechanisms, and industry qualification standards (e.g., JEDEC, AEC-Q100). 

  • Proven track record in leading reliability programs in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environments. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. 

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization. 

 
Preferred Experience

  • Experience in foundry or fabless semiconductor environments. 

  • Familiarity with advanced packaging (e.g., CoWoS, InFO), FinFET, or RF technologies. 

  • Hands-on experience with reliability tools (e.g., HTOL, HAST, EM, TDDB) and statistical analysis.
