This role is for Regional Project Management office lead for Infrastructure, and He/she will play a pivotal role in managing projects across multiple locations and oversees a team of regional project managers, ensuring successful delivery of projects across APAC. This executive role requires strategic leadership, cross-functional coordination, and operational excellence to achieve organizational goals and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Strategic Leadership
- Define the strategic objectives of the PMO and oversee the Technology Infrastructure services project portfolio.
Governance and Standards
- Ensure compliance with MUFG project management standards for financial discipline, management reporting and other project tracking mechanisms.
Portfolio Management
- Oversee the organization’s project portfolio to ensure effective prioritization and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, risks, and portfolio health.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on project status and outcomes.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to understand priorities and communicate project status and outcomes.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the PMO team and project managers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adequate training and development opportunities for project management staff.
Resource Optimization
- Oversee resource planning and allocation across projects to mitigate risks and optimize efficiency.
Reporting
- Submit monthly reports based on budget analysis, risks, and resources to regional and global stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead ASO TIS PMO function overseeing a wide variety of projects (over 50 projects totalling over SGD 20 million)
- Lead the transformation of PMO to cover project portfolio status reporting, project lifecycle governance, project plan review, project deliverable review and phase exit reviews.
- Oversee Project Managers’ adherence to the project lifecycle management process
- Collaborate with the IT Finance team to manage project costs as a portfolio manager, also taking into consideration the investment budget of TIS.
- For larger scale, higher criticality projects, PMO is expected to exercise close monitoring of status, to ensure that project risks and issues are adequately addressed in a timely manner by the project team.
- Continuously assess and improve the project governance model.
- Aligning with HO’s project life cycle guidelines, explore any room to further improve existing APAC governance scheme.
- Uplift the Project Management capability in TIS, e.g., identifying knowledge gaps, socializing lessons learnt, curating PM training courses and certifications, etc.
- Re-engineer and/or streamline existing processes to make them fit-for-purpose.
- Leverage experience and knowledge as the TIS portfolio manager to support TIS strategic decision-making at the organization level.
- Lead the standardization and streamlining the monitoring and reporting on progress/status and issues.
- Facilitate the successful delivery of projects in the TIS portfolio but building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, project management teams, technical delivery teams, etc.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of IT Infrastructure experience, with experience in portfolio management and PMP certified.
- Experience in a wide variety of projects in the infrastructure space covering Data Centres, Hosting Platforms, Storage, Networks and End User Infrastructure.
- Experience in financial planning and finance reporting.
- Strategical mind set, experience in interacting with multiple stakeholders (Development Leads, Project Managers, senior stakeholders, business users, etc.)
- Proven track record with hands-on experience to deliver positive outcomes in ambiguous environments.

- Excellent presentation skills to deliver messages to the audience both technical domain people and non-technical people.
- Strategic Thinking & Vision to achieve a clear PMO vision and mission, Align projects and programs with organizational strategy, Drive portfolio-level prioritization and value delivery.
- Introduce or refine standardized project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Safe, Waterfall, Hybrid). Implement governance models, risk management, and toll gates. Champion continuous improvement through retrospectives and KPIs.
- Implement modern PM tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Introduce automation in reporting, status updates, and dependency tracking.
- Enable real-time dashboards for stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with C-suite, delivery, and business teams.
- Translate complex program data into clear business outcomes.
- Lead the team through organizational and operational change. Apply structured change frameworks, help teams adapt to new roles, technologies, or delivery models.
- Shift from activity/output tracking to business outcome measurement. Establish benefits realization frameworks. Promote data-driven decision-making.
- Required to collaborate and coordinate with Project Managers in different locations across APAC.
