Job Description
The APAC Deployment Lead is responsible for deploying a future state E2E solution for the Global transformation program across all program functions, work streams, and global teams. The implementation includes solution readiness, business readiness and transition to end-state where responsibility includes governance with sponsors and project management to ensure timely delivery, within budget. Interdependencies are handled and risks mitigated.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead deployment of the SAP ERP Implementation according to scope, timeline, and budget to meet final project objectives (FPOs) for all phases of the program
Execute against an integrated project plan, drive stage gate and program governance processes, identify critical path, risks and lead cross-functional teams to deliver
Align with global transformation programs (e.g., SigniFi - Transact) and other interdependent programs to not impact the global ERP delivery
Forge robust working relationships with key business partners, especially technology and vendor deploy leads, to ensure program objectives are met
Prepare business updates for senior level team members and sponsors
Collaborate cross-functionally to enable a quality solution and according to defined program methodology and ways of working
Partner with peers to ensure appropriate communication of key interdependencies, risks, and performance metrics
Lead, shape, and influence deploy activities, team members and facilitate deployment, risk and program status meetings
Be a role model of the deployment methodology and agile way of working.
Ensure the project follows deployment best practices and stage-gate governance processes to ensure a quality solution is delivered on-time, on budget, and on-quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor's/University or equivalent degree is required
Advanced degree or MBA is desirable
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required:
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
Requires a minimum of 5 years of Program Management leadership experience on large complex business transformation programs
Deployment management experience leading large-scale business transformation programs, specifically ERP replacement programs (i.e., ERP upgrades are not equivalent to replacement programs) with responsibility for deployment delivery
Experience leading project timelines and achievements in a sophisticated business environment and multi-ERP/system environment is required.
Expertise in understanding critical path, risk management and mitigation, facilitating program level meetings, executive reporting, and strategic planning
Strong communication to create clear and concise reports for leadership, and the ability to work well in teams, cross-functionally, and with all levels of the organization
Strong familiarity in PMO/SAP Design/Build/Test/Deploy Agile methodology is required.
Advanced skills in project management software, Jira is required.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and connect cross-functional teams, including status reporting and leadership communication is required.
Experience running stand-up meetings to facilitate team coordination and project progress is required.
Experience establishing strong scope governance protocols to avoid scope creep, manage scope intake, and ensure project alignment with overall objectives is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading a team to achieve critical deliverables while adhering to timelines and quality standards is preferred.
Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., PMP, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma /Process Excellence, etc.) is helpful
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms is required.
Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and process improvement and value creation across the business is required.
People leadership/management experience (direct or indirect reports)
Preferred:
Supply Chain or Commercial Operations knowledge
Program management of an SAP implementation
Applied knowledge of project tools like Smartsheet and/or JIRA
FPX, PMP, or equivalent Project Management certification
OTHER:
Requires proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively and professionally
Requires up to 25% domestic and/or international travel
Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each week
